Privacy Policy for LuRaTerm
Effective Date: August 11, 2026
LuRaTerm ("the Application") is a desktop SSH client developed as a tool to manage remote server connections. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how data is handled within the Application.
1. Collection and Storage of Personal Data
The Application is local-first software. We do not collect, harvest, store, or share personal information, authentication credentials, or user data on external servers managed by the developer.
- Connection Profiles and Settings: Configurations such as hostnames, usernames, and settings are stored on your local device.
- Passwords and Credentials: If you choose to save passwords (available in LuRaTerm Pro), they are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and stored on your local device.
- Private Keys and SSH Agent: Your private keys and SSH Agent data remain in your local environment and are never transmitted to the developer or another third party by the Application.
- Terminal Logs: Terminal session data and logs are stored or exported only when you choose to save them, and are kept in locations on your local device that you select or the Application manages locally.
2. Third-Party AI Services (Optional Feature)
The Application includes optional AI chat and command assistance features.
- These features function only if you explicitly configure your own third-party API service (for example, an OpenAI-compatible service) or a local LLM.
- When you use these features, relevant terminal logs or prompts may be sent to the API endpoint you have specified.
- We do not manage, monitor, or receive data transmitted between the Application and your chosen AI service provider. Please refer to your AI provider's privacy policy regarding its data handling.
3. Telemetry and Analytics
The Application does not include third-party analytics, tracking tools, or telemetry. We do not track your usage behavior, active sessions, or connection histories.
4. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date at the top of this page.
